Saylor's Bitcoin Holdings Under Scrutiny Amid Strategy Sales

Michael Saylor, executive chairman of Strategy, has sparked controversy in the crypto community after stating that he never sold his personal Bitcoin holdings. This statement comes despite Strategy selling over 5,000 BTC this year as part of its capital framework to buy back shares and fund dividends.

Saylor's previous statements had been vocal about not selling Bitcoin, with one notable instance where he said 'sell a kidney if you must, but keep the Bitcoin.' However, some experts have pointed out that it is impossible to verify Saylor's claim about his personal holdings, suggesting that he could have deposited all his BTC into Strategy and sold it through the company.

Strategy has already sold three times this year, disposing of 32 BTC for $2.5 million in May, another 3,555 BTC for $216 million in July, and most recently 1,638 BTC for $104.7 million, bringing its total sales to 5,225 BTC.
