Uniswap founder Hayden Adams revealed that Sam Bankman-Fried paid seven figures for Uniswap.com, a domain name that was initially rejected by his team. The payment came after Uniswap Labs secured the domain in 2021 through a legal proceeding.

The WIPO ruling found that Uniswap.com had been used in bad faith, redirecting visitors to SushiSwap, a competing decentralized exchange platform. This malicious use of the domain was enough for Uniswap's legal team to obtain it 'for free', as Adams put it.
