SBI Group Joins dtcpay Stablecoin Payments Push with $25 Million Series A
Singapore-based payments company dtcpay has secured $25 million in funding from a Series A round led by Vertex Ventures, with Japan's SBI Group joining as a strategic investor. The capital will support the expansion of dtcpay's stablecoin and merchant payment infrastructure.
dtcpay operates payment infrastructure that enables merchants and businesses to move between fiat and digital assets. As a Major Payment Institution licensed in Singapore, dtcpay has a regulated base in one of Asia's most important financial hubs.
The company is building the merchant-facing layer around its infrastructure, focusing on stablecoin adoption rather than becoming another speculative crypto exchange. SBI Group's participation brings strategic value beyond capital, given their significant footprint across banking, securities, and digital assets.
