SBI Holdings and JR Kyushu Partner for New Financial Services
SBI Holdings and JR Kyushu have reached a basic agreement to launch new financial services. The two companies are considering developing a mobile app called JQ BANK, exclusive to JR Kyushu's web members, with plans to start providing it by the end of 2027.
The app will utilize SBI Neo Financial Platform's 'Total Financial Platform (FPaaS)', which SBI Group will use to integrate various services, including cryptocurrency and stablecoin payments, insurance, FX, AI agents, and media functions. The platform will also enable bank services such as the 'SBI Hyper Deposit' service, where deposits are automatically reflected in the user's stock or investment trust buying capacity.
The partnership aims to combine JR Kyushu's railway, real estate, hotel, and retail businesses with financial services to enhance customer convenience. The companies are also considering offering benefits such as discounts on train tickets based on users' financial service usage.
