SBI Takes 20% Stake in Indonesia's Ajaib with $270M Investment
SBI Holdings, a Japanese financial services company, has invested $270 million in Ajaib Group, an Indonesian fintech firm. This investment represents approximately 20% of Ajaib's capital and gives SBI a significant stake in the company.
The deal is part of SBI's strategy to expand its presence in Asia's digital asset space. With this partnership, Ajaib gains greater financial backing to broaden access to investments and digital assets for Indonesian investors.
Ajaib's platform offers a range of financial products, including stocks, bonds, funds, ETFs, commodities, foreign exchange, and crypto assets. The company also provides stablecoins and over-the-counter settlement services for institutional clients.
This investment ranks among Indonesia's largest technology funding rounds since 2022, with Ajaib having raised over $500 million since its launch in 2019.
