Scammers Drain $2M in ETH via Fake GIWA Network on DYORSWAP

DYORSWAP, a decentralized exchange (DEX), recently suffered a major security breach that resulted in the loss of approximately $2 million in Ether (ETH). The scammers behind the attack created a fake GIWA network, which they claimed was the project's mainnet. Unbeknownst to DYORSWAP, this fake bridge received about 767.65 ETH from 1,335 addresses.

The scammers then drained 766.25 ETH from the bridge. GIWA, an Ethereum layer-2 network developed by Dunamu, issued a warning stating that its mainnet had not launched and that any purported connection details circulating online were false.

DYORSWAP has assured users that their contracts have not been compromised and is currently tracing the bridge deployer, funding sources, suspected test wallets, and the addresses that received the funds. To compensate affected users, DYORSWAP used its own funds to pay more than 200 ETH.
