The XRP Ledger Foundation has issued an urgent warning about scammers promoting fake 'XRP Rewards Scanner' campaigns that claim Ripple is helping users recover unclaimed XRP through wallet scans.

No legitimate organization, including the XRP Ledger Foundation, Ripple, or any XRP wallet provider, offers XRP airdrops, rewards, or wallet-scanning programs. Users are advised to remain vigilant and never share their wallet credentials.

RippleX, Ripple's developer platform for the XRP Ledger, has also exposed the scam and urged XRP holders to stay vigilant. Phishing attacks and fake giveaway campaigns have become increasingly sophisticated on X, with scammers impersonating trusted organizations and tagging users in fraudulent posts to make fake promotions appear legitimate.

The organizations warn that no legitimate organization will ask for a wallet's secret key or recovery phrase. Users should carefully review every transaction before approving it and report phishing posts and impersonation accounts to limit the spread of fraudulent campaigns.
