SE Asia Blockchain Industry Sees Rebound with $680M in Equity Financing
According to a recent report by Tracxn, Southeast Asia's blockchain industry has seen a significant rebound in terms of funding, reaching $680 million in equity financing since 2026. This represents more than double the $319 million raised in 2025.
The recovery is largely driven by a handful of mature companies, with only 25 funding rounds completed this year compared to 46 in 2025 and a peak of 206 in 2022. The largest contributor was Crypto.com's $4 billion D-round financing, accounting for nearly 60% of the total.
Breaking down by sector, decentralized finance services were the biggest beneficiaries, raising $498 million across 19 funding rounds, representing a 48.4% year-over-year growth. Tokenization platforms and decentralized application development platforms also saw significant funding, with $114 million and $77 million respectively.
