Stellar's Institutional Momentum Surges as RWA Market Reaches $4 Billion
The Stellar network is gaining institutional momentum in 2026, driven by its expanding Real-World Asset (RWA) market, increasing participation from institutions, and advancements in stablecoin activity and protocol development.
According to a recent report, the RWA market on Stellar has grown significantly, crossing $2 billion in April and approaching $4 billion by August. This growth is complemented by expanding tokenized fund activity, with Spiko and Amundi reportedly increasing their presence within the ecosystem.
The report also highlights DTCC's selection of Stellar as a public blockchain for tokenization initiatives, underscoring its institutional recognition. MoneyGram has introduced a dollar-denominated stablecoin (MGUSD) to its ecosystem, further expanding payment-focused components on the network.
Institutional participation is also growing within Stellar's validator infrastructure, with MoneyGram, Figure Markets, and Range becoming Tier 1 validators. This expansion aligns with G20 discussions surrounding tokenization, blockchain, and faster payments, which closely mirror the infrastructure developed by Stellar and Ripple.
