SEC and CFTC Unite to Fill Crypto Regulation Gap

The failure of the Digital Asset Market CLARITY Act in the U.S. Senate has left Congress without a comprehensive crypto market structure framework.

However, federal regulators are moving ahead with their own efforts to establish clearer rules for digital assets.

SEC Chairman Paul Atkins has accelerated the agency's digital asset agenda following Congress' failure to advance CLARITY.

In September 17, the SEC introduced an 'Innovation Exemption' providing temporary, conditional regulatory relief for certain venues trading tokenized U.S. stocks onchain.
