SEC Approves Leveraged ETPs for Bitcoin, Ether, and Four Commodities
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has approved a rule change that will allow three-times-leveraged exchange-traded products (ETPs) based on Bitcoin and Ether, as well as four commodities, to be listed and traded on Cboe BZX.
The decision, dated October 2, covers six products, including those tied to gold, silver, crude oil, and natural gas. Each product carries three-times leverage and is a separate series under the VS Trust umbrella.
The approval marks a significant win for Volatility Shares, according to Eric Balchunas, the Bloomberg ETF analyst who shared the news.
