SEC Chair Atkins Expects Senate Vote on CLARITY Act September 15
SEC Chair Paul Atkins announced that the U.S. Senate is scheduled to vote on the CLARITY Act on September 15, 2026.
In a recent interview with Fox Business, Atkins expressed his expectation and hope for the legislation's passage in the Senate and eventual signing into law by the President.
The SEC has been working on proposed regulations for crypto assets that align with the framework outlined in the CLARITY Act.
These regulations aim to provide greater certainty for market participants, as well as create conditions under which product development and fundraising can occur under U.S. law.
