SEC Charges Four Entities Over Crypto Scams Totaling $15.3 Million
The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has charged four entities over alleged crypto scams that swindled investors out of more than $15.3 million.
The scams, which targeted investors through WhatsApp and other online platforms, involved fake investment opportunities in AI-generated trading signals and rented AI trading bots.
Cryptoaiml Ltd. and Cryptoaiml Capital Foundation allegedly used WhatsApp groups to impersonate investment professionals and promote supposed AI-generated trading signals, displaying fictitious profits and demanding advance fees from investors.
The entities took over $12.5 million between August 2024 and March 2025, according to the SEC.
