SEC Expands Digital Commodity Definition to Include Top Cryptos
The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has expanded its definition of digital commodities to include Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, and XRP.
This move comes as the crypto market saw a massive liquidation of short positions over the past 24 hours, totaling $566.90 million.
Meanwhile, spot Bitcoin ETFs have attracted net inflows of $730.87 million since August 4, 2026.
