SEC Greenlights 3x Leveraged Bitcoin, Ether, Gold, Silver, Oil, and Gas ETPs
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has approved six new futures-based exchange-traded products (ETPs) that track the daily performance of Bitcoin, Ether, and four commodities with a 3x leveraged effect.
On October 2, 2026, the SEC gave its approval to Volatility Shares' VS Trust for listing and trading these six new ETPs. This includes two crypto-based products: The Crypto Pair, which consists of a 3x Bitcoin ETF (no ticker mentioned) and a 3x Ether ETF (no ticker mentioned).
The other four ETPs are part of The Hard Asset Lineup: 3x Gold and 3x Silver ETPs. There's also Energy Components with 3x Crude Oil and 3x Natural Gas ETPs.
Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas called the SEC approval a 'big win' for Volatility Shares, which has already made a name for itself by launching the first 2x Bitcoin ETF (BITX) and 2x Ether ETF (ETHU).
