SEC Greenlights Tokenized Stock Trading on Uniswap v4

Instruments
UNI
Share

The SEC has granted temporary exemptive relief to Tokenized Securities Venues, allowing them to trade tokenized National Market System (NMS) stocks through permissioned Automated Market Maker (AMM) liquidity pools on Uniswap v4.

The order requests public comment and the relief remains subject to its conditions pending further SEC action. The exemption places Uniswap v4 infrastructure within a regulated pathway to US equity markets, as permissioned pools can now host tokenized stock trading under SEC relief.

This creates a regulatory catalyst for future volume and fee capture for UNI if tokenized equities route through the protocol. However, it's essential to note that the scope is narrow and the relief is temporary, conditional, and limited to permissioned pools.
