SEC Proposes Historic Overhaul of Transfer Agent Rules in Blockchain Era
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has presented a proposal to modernize transfer agent rules that have been in place since the 1970s.
This historic move is aimed at comprehensively updating the regulations to align with the current blockchain and AI era.
Grayscale, Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), and the Chamber of Digital Commerce (CCI) have collectively pushed the SEC to preserve existing ETF classifications as part of this modernization process.
