The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is preparing to roll out two major initiatives for the crypto market. According to people familiar with the matter, cited by Bloomberg, the SEC could unveil details of its innovation exemption for tokenized securities as soon as this week.

The agency will also consider a new framework for certain crypto-asset investment contracts at an upcoming meeting on August 14. This move comes after the Senate postponed consideration of the Clarity Act until September.

Regulators could move ahead with parts of the crypto market-structure agenda without waiting for Congress, according to Bloomberg's report. The regulatory agenda is focused on designing a tailored offering regime for certain investment contracts with crypto assets.
