SEC Tokenized-Stock Framework Sparks Opportunity for Coinbase, Robinhood, and Circle
The SEC's proposal for tokenized U.S. stocks on public blockchains has Wall Street analysts pointing to new revenue opportunities for digital-asset infrastructure providers.
Coinbase, Robinhood, and Circle are seen as well-positioned to benefit from the framework, which could expand into custody, onchain trading systems, and stablecoin settlement.
Coinbase's existing tokenized-equity products already meet most SEC requirements, according to Goldman Sachs analysts. CEO Brian Armstrong announced that voting rights will be added soon to align with the framework.
Robinhood may gain from the SEC framework driving product evolution, but it needs to offer full-ownership tokens. Circle is positioned to benefit from increased stablecoin-linked settlement activity.
