SEC Unveils New Rules to Lure Cryptocurrency Firms Back to US Markets

Share

SEC Chairman Paul Atkins has unveiled new rules to bring cryptocurrency firms back to the US market. The 'Regulation Crypto Assets' proposal, which he backs alongside the CLARITY Act, aims to decrease regulatory obstacles for crypto companies.

The regulation is designed to increase confidence in innovators while raising capital in the United States, according to Atkins. He believes that the current enforcement actions can never become a permanent basis for digital asset companies and that legislation is crucial to this transition process.

Atkins supports the CLARITY Act, which would regulate crypto under the SEC and Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). He sees the two initiatives as part of the same initiative meant to improve America's crypto market, with the ultimate aim of creating clear ways for companies to build capital within the country.
