SEC's Permissioned AMM Framework Sends Uniswap Price Soaring
The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has issued a temporary framework allowing certain tokenized U.S. stocks to trade via permissioned Automated Market Makers (AMMs). This regulatory pathway directly benefits Uniswap v4, which has already built infrastructure for compliant trading through its July-launched permissioned pools.
Uniswap's UNI price surged from around $6.63 to intraday highs near $8.86 after the SEC's announcement, with open interest rising to 11.21 million UNI and an RSI at 76.24, signaling strong momentum.
The breakout above $8 has shifted attention towards whether the regulatory catalyst can increase demand for the token in the coming days. If buyers defend the breakout zone, UNI could potentially reach $10-$12.
