Securitize Integrates HINC Token with Loopscale for Decentralized Lending
Securitize has expanded its reach in decentralized finance (DeFi) lending by partnering with Loopscale, allowing holders of its tokenized high-yield credit fund to use their positions as collateral for loans. The HINC token, which represents shares in the Neuberger Securitize High Income Tokenized Fund, can now be used on Loopscale to borrow USDG, a stablecoin.
The integration is significant because it brings junk bonds into the DeFi lending space, providing institutional investors with access to liquidity without having to sell their underlying assets. This solves a common problem in traditional markets, where accessing liquidity from high-yield bond portfolios often requires selling into thin and illiquid markets or negotiating repo agreements with prime brokers.
HINC launched on August 18, 2026, as a high-yield credit vehicle sub-advised by Neuberger Berman, which manages over $230 billion in fixed-income assets. The fund primarily invests in high-yield corporate bonds and has a minimum investment requirement of $100,000 for accredited investors.
