Securitize Reinforces Dominance in Tokenization
Securitize has bolstered its position in the tokenization industry by adding an SEC-registered investment adviser to its platform. The move, announced on July 27, 2026, brings the total number of regulated components on Securitize's U.S. platform to four: investment adviser, broker-dealer with Alternative Trading System, transfer agent, and fund administration services.
This expansion is significant because it enables Securitize Capital to engage directly with asset managers and institutional investors on tokenized investment strategies. According to CEO Carlos Domingo, this registration is a crucial step in helping institutions build onchain investment strategies within a regulated framework.
The development comes as the SEC continues to refine its regulations around crypto vaults and onchain lending strategies, which may require investment adviser registration depending on their structure. Securitize's early adoption of these regulations positions it favorably in an increasingly complex regulatory environment.
