Senate Setback Leaves CLARITY Act's Future Uncertain
The CLARITY Act, which aims to establish regulatory frameworks for digital assets, has suffered a setback in the Senate after failing to reach the required 60-vote threshold for advancement.
However, managing director of the Digital Sovereignty Alliance, Adrian Wall, remains optimistic about the bill's chances. He revealed that bipartisan senators are exploring options to revive the legislation and may attempt to advance it during the upcoming lame-duck session.
According to Wall, direct conversations with senators from both parties have indicated a willingness to engage in discussions to move the bill forward. Although he characterized the prospects of success as 'a long shot,' Wall emphasized that groundwork laid so far won't be wasted if the current efforts stall.
