Senate Vote Looms: Can CLARITY Act Boost Bitcoin Price?
The US Senate is set to vote on the CLARITY Act, a bill aimed at creating a clearer market structure for crypto assets. The legislation has been in the works since July 2025 and has undergone changes before reaching this procedural vote stage.
Bitcoin, currently trading around $80,000-$81,000, is expected to benefit from reduced regulatory uncertainty and potentially stronger institutional confidence if the bill passes.
The CLARITY Act aims to define who regulates what in the crypto market, reduce uncertainty, and replace case-by-case enforcement with more durable rules written into law. SEC Chairman Paul Atkins has publicly stated that legislation remains 'indispensable' for durable crypto rules.
While a favorable vote could boost sentiment, it's essential to consider other factors influencing Bitcoin's price, such as ETF flows and Fed expectations.
