Seoul District Mayor's Crypto Holdings Reveal 'Crypto Millionaire' Status
Yongsan-gu District Mayor Kim Kyung-dae is a self-proclaimed 'crypto millionaire' with reported total assets of $6.84 million, making him the wealthiest among the 10 newly registered Seoul district mayors whose assets were disclosed this round.
Kim's holdings include over 5 billion won in real estate and about 753.67 million won in virtual assets. He owns an apartment in Ichon-dong valued at 2 billion won, a jeonse lease right on another apartment worth 1.7 billion won, and a separate apartment on Hangang-ro 1-ga co-owned by his spouse, eldest son, and second son.
Kim's virtual assets include 24,390.24 Dogecoin, 5.52 Bitcoin, 281.04 Solana, 4,246.18 Sui, 2,926.54 XRP (Ripple), and 2.21 Ethereum. His spouse reported 0.75 Bitcoin, his eldest son 0.98 Bitcoin, and his second son 0.57 Bitcoin.
Kim is the only first-term district mayor elected in the ninth round of local elections whose personal asset disclosure includes virtual assets held in his own name.
