Sequans Exits Bitcoin Treasury Strategy with Final $6M Sale
Sequans Communications has finally sold its remaining Bitcoin holdings, marking an end to its ambitious treasury strategy that once held over 3,200 BTC.
The French semiconductor company had been reducing its Bitcoin stash since November 2025, when it sold 970 BTC to redeem half of its convertible debt.
In May this year, Sequans announced the redemption of the remaining convertible debt and stated that it would sell off its remaining Bitcoin over time.
The sale brings an end to a strategy launched in June 2025 after the company raised $384 million through equity securities and convertible secured debentures. At the time, CEO Georges Karam called Bitcoin 'a premier asset and a compelling long-term investment.'
