Seven-Day Inflow Streak Fuels Institutional Demand for Crypto ETFs
Crypto exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have seen seven consecutive days of inflows, starting from July 14, according to data from KuCoin. This streak is significant as it indicates steady institutional demand for Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
The current price of BTC has reached $66,300, with a cumulative inflow of $981.2 million into Bitcoin-linked funds since July 14. This surge in demand followed a prolonged period of withdrawals during May and June, which weakened institutional support.
Grayscale, an asset manager, suggests that Bitcoin may have already formed a bottom based on macroeconomic conditions. However, its cycle model predicts a possible market bottom in September or October this year. The company argues that previous downturns often occurred about one year after market peaks and cites historical average drawdowns of around 80% under this framework.
The current inflow streak does not necessarily confirm a broader cycle reversal. Institutional buying improves short-term demand, but macro conditions still control the overall risk profile. The next verifiable test will be Bitcoin's response to $70,000 and upcoming daily fund reports.
