Seven South Korean Exchanges Have Zero Bitcoin Trades Over Past Two Years

An investigation has found that seven out of eleven South Korean cryptocurrency exchanges have had zero Bitcoin trades over the past two years.

The affected exchanges are BTX, Prabang, Bitkmon, CoreDax, Crypto.com, BoraBit, and Oasis Exchange.

Industry insiders suspect that some exchanges may be conducting 'wash trades' to maintain the appearance of activity.

Despite having little to no trading activity, these exchanges continue to post notices and cryptocurrency-related content on their websites.

This practice is seen as a deliberate effort to make the exchanges appear operational.
