SHIB Price Rallies on Record Token Burns and Rising Futures Volume
SHIB's price surged by nearly 17% over the past week as token burns reached their highest level in about one year. The strong momentum has been fueled by rising futures volume and healthy derivatives activity, which have strengthened bullish market sentiment.
Rising futures trading volume jumped by 81.1%, with daily volumes reaching approximately $141.7 million, according to CoinGlass. Meanwhile, open interest declined slightly to $46.4 million. Strong burn activity has often boosted investor confidence during positive market phases.
The recent data shows that nearly 2.98 billion SHIB left circulation over the past seven days, marking the largest weekly burn recorded in about one year. This milestone was largely driven by several large transactions between July 26 and July 27, with one transfer alone removing more than 757 million SHIB from circulation.
The record token burns and improving derivatives activity have been key drivers of SHIB's recent price rally. The $0.0000050 level now holds significant importance, as holding above this area could open the path toward the 200-day EMA near $0.0000060 and broader resistance near $0.0000070.
