SHIB Sees Record Inflows Amid Mixed Market Signals

The Shiba Inu (SHIB) exchange inflows have surged to over 251 billion in the past 24 hours, raising questions about investor sentiment. However, on-chain data suggests that this increase is not necessarily a sign of holders selling their positions.

A closer look at the numbers reveals that while exchange inflows reached 251.2 billion SHIB, outflows stood at 247.7 billion SHIB, resulting in a net inflow of about 3.45 billion SHIB. This relatively small difference indicates that investors are not rushing to sell their positions.

Moreover, exchange reserves remained largely unchanged during this period, with a slight increase to around 87.26 trillion SHIB. If investors were indeed selling, we would expect to see a significant buildup in exchange balances. Instead, the data suggests a more nuanced picture.

The Shiba Inu network's overall activity has also shown signs of improvement, with active sending addresses increasing by 0.79% and receiving addresses rising by 0.83%. This indicates steady participation on the network, rather than a decline in user engagement.
