Shiba Inu Burn Rate Drops to Zero After Broad Decline

The Shiba Inu (SHIB) token experienced no qualifying burns over a 24-hour period, resulting in a reported daily burn rate of 0%. According to Shibburn, a tracker that monitors SHIB burns, zero SHIB was transferred to designated inaccessible addresses during the measurement window.

Despite the lack of activity, this does not indicate that Shiba Inu's burn mechanism has stopped operating or experienced a technical problem. Instead, it reflects an absence of qualifying community transactions during the period.

Burns in SHIB generally depend on voluntary token transfers, ecosystem activity, and initiatives involving the permanent removal of tokens from circulation. Shibburn recorded 44.60 million SHIB burned over the previous seven days, with a weekly burn rate decline of 69.59% compared to the preceding comparable period.

The monthly burn rate also declined, falling 88.05%. These figures suggest that the latest zero-burn day occurred amid a broader reduction in recorded SHIB removal activity during September rather than representing an isolated interruption.
