Shiba Inu Burn Rate Surges 657%, Over 15 Million Tokens Sent to Dead Wallets

The daily burn rate of Shiba Inu has surged by 657% in recent hours, sending over 15 million SHIB tokens to dead wallets. According to data from Shibburn, a total of 15.16 million SHIB was burned in the last 24 hours, marking a significant increase from previous days. On September 24 and 25, only 227,777 and 2,184,538 SHIB were burned, respectively.

The burn rate surge is attributed to several large transactions, including one that saw 3,887,908 SHIB tokens burned at once. Another transaction of 1,080,682 SHIB was also recorded. In addition, a total of 10,007,239 SHIB was sent to dead wallets in a single transaction.

Looking at the bigger picture, 99.16 million SHIB has been burned in the last seven days, while 383.92 million SHIB was burned in the last 30 days. Coinbase is the largest SHIB burner in this timeframe, accounting for over 40% of total burns.
