Shiba Inu Exchange Reserves Near $400 Million as Price Slides Below Key EMAs
Shiba Inu's exchange reserves are nearing $400 million due to its falling price rather than mass withdrawals. According to on-chain data, the current Exchange Reserve USD is approximately $414.8 million and has been declining primarily because of SHIB's price drop.
The token's price currently sits at $0.0000048, which is below two key moving averages that traders closely watch: the 100-day EMA at $0.0000050 and the 200-day EMA at $0.0000060. Buying interest has been too thin to push prices above these levels.
There was a recent surge in volume and price, but it failed to hold above the 100-day EMA after the initial move. The RSI also pushed into overbought territory during this period, which often precedes a cooldown rather than a continuation. The trend is cooling down, not accelerating.
A recovery above the 100-day EMA at $0.0000050 could quickly reverse the dynamic and lift the dollar-denominated reserve figure without requiring any new token inflows. However, this is a big if right now, as there's no major catalyst to change the picture.
