Shiba Inu Exchange Reserves Slip Amid Price Weakness

Instruments
SHIB
Share

The Shiba Inu token has seen its exchange reserves drop by a modest 0.18% over the past day, reaching 87.5252 trillion SHIB. This decrease in holdings may indicate a shift away from accumulation on trading platforms, which could have implications for supply-side liquidity.

However, despite this marginal reduction, the absolute reserve figure remains significant, tempering expectations of a rapid supply squeeze. The dollar value of these reserves has also dropped by 1.67% to approximately $403.49 million, suggesting that recent price weakness is more responsible than token holdings.

Netflow data shows a 24-hour negative netflow of around -159.4 billion tokens, indicating that withdrawal volumes surpassed deposits. This signals a cautious move after a period of accumulation by trading platforms.
