Shiba Inu Holders Warned: Verify Token Contracts to Avoid Confusion

Shiba Inu holders have been warned to verify token contract addresses due to a potential source of confusion. Hundreds of Ethereum-based tokens use the same TREAT ticker, which is associated with the Shiba Inu ecosystem.

Mazrael pointed out that there are more than 366 tokens on Ethereum alone that carry the TREAT ticker. This overlap creates confusion when searching for TREAT through wallets, token lists, or trading platforms.

The official Shiba Inu ecosystem TREAT token has a separate contract address for each network: Ethereum and Shibarium. Users need to confirm the address corresponds to the intended network and asset rather than relying solely on the token's name.
