Shiba Inu Legacy Domain Snafu Sparks Misconceptions About Project's Activity
The Shiba Inu community has been plagued by rumors of inactivity and death after the legacy domain shibatoken.com displayed a suspension notice. However, according to veteran Mazrael, this is not a sign that the project is dead.
Mazrael pointed out that the issue stems from a technical change that occurred on April 17, when the legacy domain was updated and no longer redirected users to the current portal. Instead, it displayed a service suspension notice, leading multiple platforms with historical references to direct users to an error message.
The traffic disruption is not due to domain expiration or lack of payment, as the URL ownership remains registered and funded through 2027. According to Mazrael's statements, this was a deliberate administrative decision regarding the legacy domain that cut off visitor flow to the active portal.
