Shiba Inu Price Holds Steady Amid Market Decline
The Shiba Inu cryptocurrency is defying the broader market trend as it holds steady and even climbs on its weekly chart. The global crypto market cap has declined by 0.8% in the last 24 hours, while Shiba Inu's price has increased by 6.1%. This divergence from the market trend is attributed to three key factors: rising DEX volume on ShibaSwap, a sharp spike in SHIB burn rate, and renewed attention due to memecoin buzz.
ShibaSwap recorded its highest weekly DEX volume since December 2025, processing $14.55 million in trades between September 7 and 13. This surge in trading activity suggests more people are showing interest in the Shiba Inu token network. However, not all tokens within the network are experiencing this growth, as BONE and LEASH prices remain under pressure.
The SHIB burn rate has jumped by 940% in the past 24 hours, with holders burning 41,355,823 tokens across 21,770 transactions. This sudden increase in token burn is often seen as a bullish signal by traders who track supply shrinkage. Additionally, the launch of Hunter Biden's Laptop Coin on September 9 has sparked renewed interest in memecoins, including Shiba Inu.
