Shiba Inu Prices Surges on Burn Spike and Whale Activity

Shiba Inu's price surged 3.1% over the last 39 hours due to a confluence of factors, not a single event. The significant acceleration in SHIB burns was one contributing factor, with over 11 million tokens removed from circulation over the past 24 hours. This is the largest daily burn since late July and part of a larger trend: over 3.35 billion SHIB have been burned over the last 30 days as of August 14.

The burn rate spike has amplified the deflation narrative, making it more likely that traders will respond with higher demand. Exchange netflows also pointed to fewer tokens being immediately available for sale, with a negative 44.1 billion SHIB over 24 hours indicating reduced on-exchange supply.

Whale activity has also increased, with an '850% jump' in recent days, and Shibarium usage is showing signs of life, with daily transactions rising to the highest level since early July. These factors interacted with a well-watched technical support area, making it more likely for SHIB's price to rebound.
