Shiba Inu Sees 79% Surge in Outflows as Holders Flee Exchanges
Shiba Inu (SHIB) has seen a significant shift in exchange flows over the past 24 hours, with outflows jumping 79% and creating a massive net outflow of 312.75 billion tokens.
The total withdrawals reached 447.7 billion SHIB during this period, while deposits stood near 134.95 billion tokens, resulting in a negative net flow.
This imbalance between withdrawals and deposits is often seen as a sign of lower immediate selling pressure, as fewer tokens remain available for traders looking to sell through exchanges.
Large net outflows can also reflect stronger confidence among long-term holders, who may prefer keeping assets in private wallets rather than on exchanges.
The seven-day average for mean exchange outflows climbed 127.82%, and unique withdrawing addresses increased by 1.16% during the period, indicating broader movement across several holder groups.
