Shiba Inu Surges 40%, Re-Enters Top 25 Cryptocurrencies Amid Whale Activity
Shiba Inu's price surged nearly 40% in two days, pushing it back into the top 25 cryptocurrencies. This rapid increase is largely attributed to a liquidity squeeze driven by whale activity, with 802 wallets controlling 94.7% of the supply.
The rally faces significant resistance near a $3.5 billion market cap and the 200-day moving average, which could limit further gains without new retail buyers. Despite this, Shiba Inu's price has been boosted by a massive influx of tokens into exchange wallets, with approximately 2.4 trillion SHIB tokens flowing in within 24 hours.
This surge was not caused by a single whale but rather multiple traders and market participants. The increased demand from Korean buyers on Upbit also contributed to the rally, adding about $1 billion to Shiba Inu's market cap. However, this momentum may be short-lived if new retail investors do not enter the market.
