Shiba Inu Whale Sells 600 Billion SHIB After Month-Long Hiatus

A Shiba Inu whale, known for holding an enormous position in SHIB tokens, has resumed large-scale selling after a month of inactivity. The whale transferred nearly 600 billion SHIB worth $3.09 million to BitGo in two transactions.

The first transfer was 280 billion SHIB, followed by another 320 billion SHIB sent in a separate transaction. Both transfers went through a Forwarder address associated with distribution activity before ending up at an address affiliated with BitGo.

This whale's history is significant because it acquired 103 trillion SHIB for just $13,700 in August 2020, around the time Shiba Inu launched. The investment generated extraordinary gains, reaching a value of $9.1 billion during SHIB's all-time-high period in October 2021.

The whale did not immediately liquidate its position and instead sold only a portion of its holdings before becoming largely inactive for several years.
