Shiba Inu's Price Decline Shows No Signs of Abating
Shiba Inu's price has been in a downward trend for nearly five years, ever since its all-time high. Despite its small market capitalization of $3.3 billion as of September 28, it's still one of the most popular digital assets on Earth.
The cryptocurrency lacks fundamental advantages compared to other blockchain networks and doesn't appear to be benefiting from its token burning efforts. In the past 30 days, 375.6 million tokens were burned, which is roughly 4.5 billion on an annualized basis. However, this represents a tiny fraction of the circulating supply of 589.2 trillion tokens.
Despite its innovative features such as a metaverse and decentralized exchange, Shiba Inu's price hasn't increased due to these efforts. The cryptocurrency's community of supporters, known as the Shib Army, appears to be losing interest, with the token trading at 94% below its peak from almost five years ago.
