Shiba Inu's Price Won't Hit $1 in Next Year Amid Fundamentals Weakness
Shiba Inu, once one of the most popular digital assets on Earth, has fallen out of favor since its mind-boggling 2021 run. The meme token has a market capitalization of $3.3 billion (as of Sept. 28), but lacks real fundamental advantages compared to other feature-rich blockchain networks.
The token's developers have built a metaverse, a decentralized exchange, and a layer-2 scaling solution, all innovative features within the cryptocurrency industry. However, these strategic actions have done nothing to drive Shiba Inu's price, indicating that they're not catching on with users.
Shiba Inu is in the process of burning its token supply, but at a rate that's virtually nothing compared to its gargantuan circulating supply. The current burn rate translates to roughly 4.5 billion tokens per year, which represents next to nothing out of a total supply of 589.2 trillion tokens.
Analysts from The Motley Fool have identified the top 10 stocks for investors to buy now, and Shiba Inu wasn't one of them. Their stock advisor team has seen market-crushing returns with an average return of 933%, compared to 211% for the S&P 500.
