Silbert Doubles Down on Bittensor AI Token
Barry Silbert, founder of Digital Currency Group (DCG) and self-proclaimed 'crypto king', is shifting his focus to decentralized artificial intelligence. He believes that the Bittensor AI token ($TAO) has the potential to be a successor to Zcash (ZEC) and Bitcoin, due to its scarcity model.
The discussion around this topic started on social media, where analysts compared the fundamental properties of TAO with those of BTC and ZEC. Silbert responded by confirming his support for the AI token, which he sees as a continuation of his previous long-term strategies.
The key factor behind Silbert's bet is the strict mathematical scarcity parameters built into TAO's code, including a fixed supply of 21 million coins and regular halvings. This is similar to Bitcoin and Zcash, where issuance is also capped at a certain level.
Silbert believes that Bittensor is the most exciting project since Bitcoin, and he's not just talking about it - his companies have been investing in it since 2021. He created the Yuma Group as a subsidiary to work with this ecosystem, which operates as a major validator and manages specialized funds for accredited investors.
