Silicon Network, an Ethereum layer 2 chain, has started shutting down. The network stopped accepting new bridge deposits on September 2, 2026.

Users now have until December 31, 2026 to withdraw their remaining funds, which total around $9.75 million in various tokens.

The shutdown affects Korbit's Web3 Wallet, built on Silicon, which is also being discontinued less than two years after its launch.

Assets originally bridged from Ethereum can be sent back to the mainnet during the withdrawal window, but users must cover gas fees and start the process themselves before the deadline.
