Silk Road-Era Wallet Sees $1M+ Transaction After 15 Years

A wallet that received $BTC payments from Braiins Mining between February and May 2011 has seen its coins move for the first time in over 15 years, with one transaction worth more than $1 million.

The wallet's history dates back to the early days of Bitcoin, with a total of 429.88 BTC received across 43 payments from Braiins Mining, which was formerly known as Slush Pool.

The two coins that moved this week were sent to modern Segwit addresses and are now worth around $1.7 million due to the current price of Bitcoin near $83,000.

The wallet's history also includes transactions with Mt. Gox and Silk Road, but it is not a trustee wallet for Mt. Gox's trustee, who still controls about 34,504 BTC after moving 10,422 BTC in June.
