Sky Surges on Institutional Backing and Technical Breakout
Sky (SKY) has seen its price surge by 17% in recent days due to a combination of factors. One key driver is the strategic move by Galaxy Digital into the Sky ecosystem. On September 23, Sky Frontier Foundation announced that Galaxy Digital added $100 million of sUSDS to its corporate treasury and purchased an undisclosed amount of SKY for its balance sheet and operations.
This move has directly increased institutional demand for Sky's stablecoin and indirectly for SKY itself. In addition, a technical breakout from a multi-month downtrend has also contributed to the price increase. SKY broke above a descending trendline on September 24, clearing key Fibonacci levels at $0.06444 (0.382) and $0.07424 (0.618).
The broader market has also been risk-on, with Bitcoin climbing about 3.4% to above $86,000. Within this context, SKY's price increase is seen as part of a larger reaction to these intertwined factors rather than an additional distinct catalyst.
