Small-Cap Tokens Surge as Broader Crypto Market Lags Behind
Several smaller-cap tokens set new highs on Thursday ET, but the broader crypto market remains below prior cycle peaks. According to CryptoRank data, six assets with at least $10 million in market capitalization reached fresh 'all-time highs' (ATHs) over the past day.
Prime (PRIME) traded near its record level of $1.05, just 0.02% below it, while syrupUSDT (syrupUSDT) hovered at $1.14, only 0.008% away from its peak.
Orochi Network (ON), XST, and Vault Bridge USDT (vbUSDT) also made new ATHs, with Orochi up roughly 623% from its historical low.
However, the day's data also showed a larger set of tokens hitting fresh 'all-time lows' (ATLs). VVS Finance (VVS), Dogelon Mars (ELON), and Big Time (BIGTIME) were among those that fell more than 90% below their prior record highs.
The disparity between ATHs and ATLs highlights the market's uneven recovery, with capital rotating into narrow pockets while a larger subset remains in persistent drawdowns.
