Smarter Web Aims to Strengthen Operating Businesses Amid Growing Bitcoin Holdings
Smarter Web's CEO Andrew Webley outlined the company's vision for its operating businesses and Bitcoin treasury in their latest update. The UK-based firm has made significant strides since going public on April 28, 2025, with a focus on growing its Bitcoin holdings.
Webley emphasized that while the company's Bitcoin balance sheet represents a substantial part of its overall value, the operating businesses are not less important. In fact, they are crucial to the company's long-term strategy, which includes expanding revenues, increasing recurring revenues, and generating additional cash flows.
Smarter Web has already made progress in this area, completing its first acquisition, Squarebird Agency, in February using a combination of cash and equity. Webley stated that the company will continue to prioritize acquisitions, but only when it makes sense from a financial perspective.
The CEO also highlighted the benefits of having operating businesses alongside the Bitcoin treasury. By leveraging their skills and infrastructure, Smarter Web can create efficiencies and reduce outsourcing needs. This allows the company to have its own marketing and digital thinking embedded within the organization, giving it a genuine competitive advantage.
